Super Vision Wins First Prize of China Invention Association’s "Innovation Award"

Recently, the project "Key Technologies and Applications of Holographic Trustworthy Perception and Dynamic-Static Collaborative Control for Intelligent Road Network Traffic", co-developed by Super Vision, won the First Prize of the "Innovation Award" of the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award, presented by the China Invention Association. The project was jointly completed by Super Vision, Tongji University, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and other leading universities and institutions.
As China's vehicle ownership leaps to the top of the world, the challenges of urban road network congestion and parking scarcity have become increasingly severe. According to statistics, traffic congestion in China wastes over 10 billion hours annually, with approximately 30% of congestion caused by drivers cruising for parking spaces. Therefore, accelerating the digital transformation and upgrading of urban road network governance, enhancing the collaborative management of dynamic and static traffic, and improving commuting services for residents are not only urgent public needs but also strategic milestones for building a nation with strong transportation capabilities.
To address these challenges, the project focused on three major bottlenecks of urban road networks: "imprecise status analysis, suboptimal operational control, and poor commuting experiences." Leveraging the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a joint industry-university-research-application team tackled key technological hurdles. These included full-volume trustworthy perception of road-domain elements, proactive collaborative control of dynamic-static traffic, and full-chain intelligent seamless navigation for driving and parking. The team established a complete technical system for collaborative management and full-chain guidance of urban road networks based on global digitalization, and developed a series of innovative achievements spanning "perception equipment - control platforms - service systems." The relevant technologies have reached international leading standards within the industry.
The project has been granted 42 domestic and international invention patents, including 10 international PCT patents and 32 Chinese invention patents, along with 15 computer software copyright registrations. It has produced 105 published academic papers, including 84 indexed by SCI, 24 in Top Journals of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) District 1, and 10 ESI Highly Cited Papers globally, accumulating over 2,000 citations on Google Scholar. Two core papers were selected into the Major Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements Database of the Ministry of Transport. Additionally, the project team co-released the White Paper on the Innovative Development of Intelligent Road Networks and delivered over 20 presentations at international conferences. The project's achievements have been successfully implemented across more than 50 large and medium-sized cities nationwide, serving over 1 billion vehicles annually. The application and promotion have yielded excellent results, generating direct economic benefits exceeding RMB 1.5 billion, alongside significant social and environmental returns.
